Try Before You Buy
SO you have decided that it’s time to paint your ensuite bathroom. And you’ve selected your paint (Benjamin Moore Aura Bath & Spa, of course)… but now you just can’t decide on the most important part – the colour. Galapagos Turqouise (2057-20) or Slate Teal (2058-20)… how do you decide? One appears to be more blue and the other more green when you are looking at the swatches in the store, but what will happen when you get the colour into your own space? What about coordinating with grandma’s vintage picture frames?
If you’re not ready to commit to a colour, Tri-City Paint & Decorating is pleased to offer a variety of samples to test out the colour at home.
You can try a quart, or even smaller – a 1/2 pint tester. “Big chip” sample squares provide a pre-painted slab of colour, great for taping up on your wall at home to see what a bigger swatch looks like next to those picture frames of yours, and see how both colours transform under your bathroom lights.
For authentic Benjamin Moore colours, insist on Benjamin Moore paint
Mismatched colours are often not evident until the paint is on the walls, and the results can be disappointing. Competitors may claim they can match Benjamin Moore colours, but the truth is that they can’t.
You can only get true Benjamin Moore colours using Benjamin Moore paint. The reason lies in our manufacturing process. Our paints are created using proprietary colorants and resins and formulated with our patented waterborne technologies. This highly controlled system ensures the quality of Benjamin Moore paints and the purity of our colours.
When a competing store offers to match a Benjamin Moore colour, their scanner simply provides its “best guess” for matching the colour using another paint, generic colorants and a different tinting system. While it may be close, the final result is not the colour you spent days or weeks deciding upon. In other words, it’s a knockoff.
Be sure that the colour you picked is the colour you get. Authentic Benjamin Moore colours are only available at your local Benjamin Moore retailer.
